A message from the ILD Administrator - Distinguished Speaker for San Antonio
Dear ILD members,
we are very pleased to announce that, after New York, Boston and San Diego, we will have a Division Distinguished Speaker also at the next ATA Annual Conference in San Antonio!
Stephen Sartarelli is an award-winner poet and translator, whose work covers classic authors, such as D'Annunzio and Pasolini, but also modern and contemporary writers, including Calasso and Bufalino, Massimo Cacciari and Gianni Riotta, and the challenging translation of Andrea Camilleri's Montalbano novels from Sicilian.
We are honoured that he accepted our invitation and hope you will enjoy his presentations.
Mr Sartarelli will offer three one-hour sessions during the conference, one on the translation of Camilleri's books and two on the specific challenges of translating poetry.
The final program of the conference has not been published yet, but should be available on the website very soon. Check out this page http://www.atanet.org/conf/2013/sessions.htm for updates.
We look forward to seeing you all in San Antonio!

Welcome statement
Tradurre has a great record of publishing interesting material and our stated mission is to build upon that tradition to bring you compelling articles and comments on language and translation, news about conferences and events that might be of interest for our profession, and maybe a bit of fun too!
But of course we need and welcome your cooperation to keep this page alive and active.
Contributions in Italian and in English are equally appreciated.
