Italian program at the ATA Annual Conference in San Diego, October 24-27, 2012

Please take a minute to read this overview of the Italian activities at the upcoming annual conference in San Diego.

This year the Italian lineup is richer and more compelling than ever, with 8
educational sessions plus the Division Meeting.

Let's start this short recap with a few words about the meeting.
In order to have more time for educational sessions, we have agreed to limit
the meeting time to 15 minutes (IT-3, Friday, 2pm-2:15pm).

This is really a short time, therefore it may be useful to take a look at
our tentative meeting agenda:
Division Elections - The ILD Administrator and Assistant Administrator for 2013-2014 will be appointed by acclamation.

Leadership Council - Please come forward if you wish to join the LC. We are
specially looking for someone based in the San Antonio, TX area who could
help with the 2013 conference and division event organization.

Division activities report - Those of you who follow us on Facebook and on
our blog (Tradurreild.blogspot.com) are aware of what we have been up to in
the past 12 months. Our division website is being renewed and should be
online very soon. We have offered a certification exam in Italy and worked
on the conference program.

Plans for 2013-2014 - We will continue to concentrate on communication and
providing information and support to ILD members, plus hopefully hosting one
exam session in Italy every year.
Ideas, comments and suggestions for additional services you would like to
receive through the ILD are more than welcome.

If you would like to bring up an issue for discussion, please let us know.
We could exchange opinions on this blog, in the weeks leading up to the
conference. If you are going to be in San Diego but cannot make it to the meeting, please feel free to come and talk to us at any time if you need assistance or have issues you wish to submit
to our attention.

And now the Italian program proper.
