International Online Conference on Translation Process Research:
Breaking New Ground
Aston University, Birmingham ( UK )

The closing date for registration is Friday 2nd December 2011.

In recent years, much attention has been given to the process by which a translation is produced, and Holmes’s process-oriented branch of Descriptive Translation Studies now has many offshoots, breaking new ground and continuing to raise awareness of what is happening in translators’ and interpreters’ minds.

To celebrate the growth of process research and continued enthusiasm for researching the black box, this international online conference will bring together experts in translation and interpreting process research to discuss current and future orientations of all aspects of this newly established field. Topics may include, but are not restricted to, the following: cognitive explorations of translation and interpreting processes, eye-tracking/keyboard logging technologies, Think Aloud Protocol research, empirical studies and process-oriented methodologies, interdisciplinary studies and perspectives, psychological theories and models.
