Machine translation is not an easy technology to love, but it is possible to like on occasion. And no matter what, translators need to be able to discuss the issue when clients bring it up.
This 60-minute webinar will explore the characteristics that help define a job as suitable for machine translation. Real-world successes (and failures) will illustrate when human-only, machine-only, or some combination of both is appropriate for the customer's goals.
Attendees will learn the following decision points to use in evaluating and discussing machine translation with clients:
- Strengths and limitations
- Practical applications
- Cost savings
- Translation speed
- Post editing requirements
